Week 13 as a Level 2 Nursing Student

This week was so exciting! We had our skills testing in lab and had to do a dressing change. It was like a mad house in open lab on Monday after class with everyone going to practice on the Terry dolls. Skills testing went well, but it was kind of awkward because I would try to say "are you in any pain, Terry?" or explaining the procedure and my examiner was just standing there smiling. So moving past those awkward silences was fun. Awkward moments, always fun.

Clinical this week was quite busy for me because I finally did IV meds! I was so scared!!! So as I was getting it prepared, I was all shakey and nervous but I made it through. And so did the patient. HA! Of course they did, why wouldn't they?! I got to discharge both my patients this week and do some discharge planning and some patient education around medications! Woohoo!

I can't believe there are only 3 weeks left in the semester! Time really does fly by when you're having fun, hey?

In other good news, we got our patho midterms back and I did significantly better than the first one! So I feel good about that Also, Bangladesh is still a go and I've emailed my confirmation to Alex and we've been talking about visas and such!!! EXCITEMENT!!

Powering through the next 3 weeks!
