This week was busy yet not as bad as everyone had it cut out to be. We had two midterms on Friday, one presentation, and one practical exam. The most stressing one for me was the practical exam not because I didn't feel ready, but because the few moments prior to the exam, we were all standing outside of the lab waiting to be called in one at a time. That was the most distressing moment. But the exam went off without a hitch and thank god for being the first group to be tested cuz I wouldn't want to wait in nervous anticipation for hours.
We didn't have clinical rotations this week because our ward was still under quarantine for the Norwalk, so that was definitely disappointing. On the plus side, we had more time to study for our exams and we got to have some group study sessions.
A few points to ponder from PBL (NURS 1000):
What gives you meaning in life. How do you want to be remembered. What have you done that you feel is meaningful.
Before being able to give good, non-judgmental nursing care, you need to know yourself and where your morals, values, and beliefs lie.
Smooth sailing from here, ladies and gentlemen!
