Week 5 as a Level 1 Nursing Student

So this week was so not as stressful as the previous students had explained it to be. We didn't get to go to the hospital this week because there was an outbreak of the Norwalk virus on our floor. It was a bit disappointing at first, but we still got to do patient research and look up medications and then we did practice on the dolls in the simulation lab and started doing nursing care plans, so it was a full day, definitely! The final exam was not bad at all, and next week is rapidly approaching!

Tue/Wed: @ LGH and doing our patient presentations
Thur: Skills testing
Fri: Patho and Skills Midterms

It's a pretty full week, but I don't necessarily think it's something I can't overcome. We already have 1019 out of the way and there isn't a critical thinking assignment for 1020 this week, reducing our workload significantly! So this weekend, I'm going to review all my critical thinking notes and study my patho slides until it kills me. I've already done all my other readings for next week, so amen to that!

I should start my second journal entry, though....

This week in my clinical techniques class, we practiced sponge baths and condom catheter applications!
